we have a petition uo to remove the privative clauses out of the Workmens' Compensation Acts the Section [Jurisdiction of the Board} This would give you the right to take your case to court if needed and have the judge make a decision on your case concerning all facts of law then thier opinon would take presedent over any letter or judgement of any appeals tribunal . This is very important please

Well peeps for all of you who followed my journey through you tube I am still fighting for the rights my husband needs for dealing with seriously Brain injured injury.I put in a request for a commutation of funds for the purpose of paying off debt that was actually due to the actions of the Worksafe BC team. The request was denied as usual so I put in a request for a review of the decision. We were granted the request to have the decision re eveluated due to new medical evidence and guess who will be doing the review of that request? Yep the same man who denied it in the first place. is this not a bias tilt? I do believe that this not ethically even remotely proper. Has anyone out there ever had a wcb employee admit they were wrong in any of thier findings? We are now SEVEN year peeps into this fight and still occuring debt brought on by Worksafe BC

WSIB/WCB are spinmeisters aren't above lying and revictimizing
the people they`ve harmed!!
As far as WSIB/WCB is concerned, lying works: neither government
nor public opinion has yet discouraged them!!
To prove your WSIB/WCB case the injured are forced to tell our
traumatic story over and over and subjected to the nasty,
derogatory comments of the WSIB/WCB representatives!!

My husband was ruhed to the hospital due to unusual shaking of his body, stomach pains and high fever after he was out from his working place. He have been days complaining of the strong paint odor of the new building theit company have let them transfered in. He had reported to it for 3 days. Many have not reported for work because of headache and nasal congestion. My husband was diagnosed having Lead Poisoning but his company had denied it. We were very disappointed and very upset with his company. It has not supported his hospital bills and he was even marked absent and not sck leave from the company. Was it all because he was hired on contractual basis? I am so mad and feel so abused.

Description

?If someone is screwed over by a bank, by an employer, by government red tape, they no longer have to face it all alone ? now they have a group, a solidarity squad, and a movement to back them up. The system wants to keep us separate, to keep us apart because it knows that collective action produces results. So we have set up a local Solidarity Squad and put the word out that no boardroom is safe, no corrupt bank deal will go unchecked, and no more will we deal with these attacks alone.?
The Solidarity Squad.

The Injured Workers Group made a request of the Solidarity Squad in December 2012. We have responded with our full support. Occupy Edmonton believes the plight of injured workers, who struggle to attain the basic amenities of life, deserve our help.
Injured workers, immobilized by pain & pleading for help, are terrorized by the ineffectual nature of bureaucracy. Countless petitions & meetings with members of our legislative party has proven more than ineffectual, it has proven the system does not work for the people.

The following is the Injured Workers Groups's statement;

''Alberta worksites can be a dangerous place to make a living.

Occupy Edmonton and Alberta?s Injured Workers have joined forces to expose Alberta?s corrupt WCB. Our concerns involve:

1) Independent Medical Examinations

? Are wrought with fraudulent reports by WCB paid Doctors and diagnoses to enable WCB to deny legitimate claims of Injured Workers

2) Medical Panel Office

? Conducts Medical Panels designed to leave no recourse to the claimant Worker as they are ?binding? and biased favouring WCB while ignoring the diagnosis of treating physicians of Injured Workers

3) Case Manager Interference

? Case Managers manipulate and intimidate Worker claimants Physicians when their diagnosis or opinion opposes WCB
? Case Managers operate in a Bonus Salary Structure designed to clear Injured Worker claims off WCB that is discriminatory to Injured Workers.

4) Where is the WCB money that is paid by employers?

Why are Alberta Taxpayers paying for Injured Workers who have been denied legitimate WCB claims and forced onto AISH, a taxpayer funded social program? WCB cannot displace Injured Worker to AISH leaving Alberta Taxpayers to foot the bills.

We need to make WCB corruption an issue in every Alberta constituency before the Spring Election. ''

Christine McTeague case manager assigned to my case, payments are always late, her return to work plan doesn't even come close to making sense my surgeon who performed spinal surgery isn't even talking about me working yet and she keeps pushing as well she has sent me many letters stating a letter after our discussion, this woman needs help I have spoken to her on the phone four times in six months and never met her in person, letters I have received one or two a month. I have called supervisors of case managers and nothing gets done, they even keep talking about me going to another job instead of my original, going nuts want to go home back to NB but they keep telling me that since I was injured in Alberta I have to stay here until I am able to fully return to work
