It cannot be said that the Board is independent insofar as the worker is concerned. It is a Board set up to protect the employers. The Board is funded by the employers, and the Board has a duty and probably a primary duty to protect the employer. In relation to the worker, the Board has an overwhelming wealth of knowledge and experience. It has the financial ability to fund sophisticated
investigations involving highly qualified experts and have the material presented to them, guided, orchestrated and propounded by its in-house counsel responsible to the Board and paid for by the Board. The application of any standards under the rules of natural justice would identify such circumstances as being unequal in negotiating ability and unfair. This is not a level playing field, it is not fair, and it offends the basic principles of natural justice."

I've been representing injured workers for over 11 years. I am only too familiar with the types of situations you described and share your intense anger. I routinely refer to the board here in Ontario as one of the most hated institutions in the province and work with the Ontario Network of Injured Workers Groups.
I agree with this gentleman. Someone should be held responsible and you should be able to take legal action and the ass off them. Maybe then thay will understand what it is like to be worried all the time about if you are going to make rent, food and the other bills that keep piling up. We also should not have to jump through so many hoops just to get by on the money or lack of. I am starting to go through the process of applealing the decision that was made on my claim and I really hope that it does not take 3 years to resolve.

hi iv just happend upon this sight tring to do a little investegating on my owen first off i cant spell verry good sorry i to am or was a welder /mechanic i live in missouri usa i got bblowed up while on one arm duties from preveios injery at work so now i have to sepret clames 1 big nightmear to make a long storry short my injerys happend about 4 years ago2006&3-2007 been just had sergery on my shoulder i dont trust my owen aternny i dont know what to do tey sent me a bill sayig they paid my over that i owed them $368.20 ? they stoped payin me a year ago tryin to get me to take a settel ment so how do i get blwed up only half fixed and i owe them ????comon i see y peppole do the crazzy shit caus thats all they leave us with wish i could typ more YOUR NOT ALONE USA SUCKES LIBERTY MUTUAL ARE HITLERS PUPPETS GOD BLESS US

citizens and if that is true,
only a magestrate can issue us a denial
and these case managers are nothing
of the sort but we are denied by them.
The WSIB case manager denies my claim
and wants me to accepts crumbs.
And that is what these case managers
are skilled at I have been injured
and these WSIB adjudacators have
dictated to my doctor and my employer
I want stand for there tatics I almost
died twice because of there neglagence
and been permanetly injured and scammed
by the WSIB and every case is a differnt
scam on the injured worker.

This is so true I have been fighting the system WCB and previous employer SAHO in SK has also taken away my jobbecause of the limititaions I have. I was injured at work in October 2006. I fought one appeal and one than once again WCB cut me off after my neck surgery,I appealed again they closed my file because my physicians letter was not good enough for them.I'am waiting for my second surgery there is a year waiting list or longer. I live each day taking anti depressants,tylonal 3 /codeine,I'm frustated and angry. Here I sit like A fly around a pile of cow .... swarming to keep myself going to want to get up each day,to look forward to the week ahead. Thats to WCB and the great union that are supose to be there for us.WE ARE JUST ANOTHER NUMBER HA WHAT A BIG JOKE
